Soon, every app will need to ask one question.

Is there a real, continuous human behind this?

AI agents are starting to act on our behalf everywhere. They log in for us, fill in forms, book things, and answer messages. That is useful, and it also blurs a line that used to be simple: whether a real person is actually here. As that blur spreads, more and more apps will have to answer the same question before they trust an action. We want to be the calm, person-owned way to answer it.

Think of how Sign in with Google quietly became a normal way to prove who you are online. We want to be a normal way to answer this new question, with one difference that matters: the proof belongs to you, not to the company reading it.

The Record Grows Up

The proof gets quieter and more natural over time.

Your record does not rest on any one clever trick. It rests on time. Each signal is a single strand, and any strand on its own can be copied. What cannot be copied is the whole rope, held unbroken across years. So the plan is simple: keep adding strands, and make each new one easier and more natural to give than the last.

    Voice becomes a main way your record recognizes you, because people are starting to talk to their devices and type less. Your record learns the you in how you speak. It stays on your device, and the recording never leaves it.

    Ambient signals

    Looking ahead, we are studying ambient signals, like the way a room's wifi can already sense that someone is present and moving, as an even more effortless way to confirm a real person is there. This is careful, consent-first research, not surveillance. It would always be opt-in and private by design, and never something done to you without your say.

What We Will Never Do

Some lines we will not cross.

A tool that proves you are real only stays trustworthy if it stays honest about what it is not. These are promises, not preferences.

Never claim to prove your worth, or your personhood.

The record can show that it has stayed the same over time. It is not a verdict on who you are or how much you matter, and we will never turn it into one.

Never sell the private contents of your record.

What is inside it is yours. It is not ours to package, rent, or trade, and it never will be.

Never let a company read your life to get a yes or no.

A business asking whether a real, continuous person is here should get exactly that answer, and nothing about how you live, where you go, or what you do.

Never make the proof something you cannot delete.

If you want it gone, it goes. A record you are not free to erase is not really yours, and this one is yours.
