it was a poem before it was a patent.
Three poems came first, written between patent claims and three in the morning and rented mountain houses and a half dead phone. They are not about the company. The company is about them. Beginning, middle, end. Read them in order or read them backward. Both directions pass through the same center.
Something in Rearviewpoem . for sons . the departure
A piece about motion, how thoughts drift, loop, and come back. Some parts clear, some blurred on purpose. Meant to be felt, not explained. It carries the horses, and the line the whole life turns on.
The center is a deliberate rupture, marked like fainting at a church pew, the moment forward motion stops working and direction has not yet formed. It refuses to resolve. From this line came a venture named for it: LOMO, Life Only Matters Once, And It Doesn't. Forward it reads as urgency, backward as release. Someone read that line and tried to incorporate it, which is the tenderest and most human thing in the whole building.
Twenty-Twopoem . for daughters . where the palindrome was born
The hyphenated compounds, the half truths, the palindrome as a way of speaking, all of it starts here.
Fontannapoem . for parents . the thesis in the shape of a poem
Each art surface carries one poem's DNA. The book is Twenty-Two. The screenplay is Rearview. The whole architecture is Fontanna. A page with no middle, only beginnings and end, a truth drawn equal both ways. That is the thesis, and it was a poem before it was a patent.
77 Tapesthe origin artifact . dormant
The earliest thing in the corpus, and not a podcast. Short clips a man would make in his early twenties to leave a son he does not have, so the son learns through proof rather than through hard lessons. Seventy-seven tapes, seventy-seven lessons, seventy-seven memories, which is two hundred and thirty-one. The number is the point. It opens and closes on the line that closes almost everything else.
your life is beautiful. what is it for.
i am THAT i amthe book . fifteen chapters . sealed
It looks like a book about a mirror until it becomes one. You thought you were reading. You were being read. Three parts, i am, THAT, i am, on Girard and the borrowed wanting we mistake for our own. Its copyright line is the whole thesis in legal clothing: no part may be reproduced without permission except by placing it in a room where someone needs it.
for the ones who refused to disappear.
for the ones still clearing rubble.
the dedication
Four epigraphs open it: i am that i am from Exodus, Howard Thurman on the things we do to each other, René Girard on the creature who does not know what to desire, and your life is beautiful, what is it for, credited to 77 tapes. The colophon states the whole distribution theory in one breath: it was designed to be placed, not sold, and it compounds every time it is read.
Both Waysthe book that writes itself to every reader . spec complete
A mirror disguised as literature, with no Noctara vocabulary anywhere in it. The beginning and the end are written once, for everyone. The middle is generated for the one person reading, and never names the word it hands them.
Perspective, a Self-Licking Love Storyscreenplay . five parts and a return . unmade
His own life turned into architecture. A desert highway, the dark years and the locked room, a launch, the teaching years, a city, and a return to the same room with the same pen. The film's argument is that the old hero's journey demands a sacrifice, and that the sacrifice is a design flaw, not a truth.
Cole: We're already not the same. This is just the moment we notice it.
The six statements are born in it, written as declarations and not questions. It ends where everything ends.
The Self-Licking Ice Cream Conethe meta-screenplay . sealed
The pitch and the thing being pitched at the same time. A professor reads it and says the screenplay says you are very sick. The architect answers, it is all an act, the sickness and the act are also both true, the architecture holds regardless.
the strongest work in the archive.
The newest work, and the deepest. Written to be felt as art before it is understood as anything else.
The Living Supraorganisma film in three documents . a bible, a fourteen minute short, a feature . draft
A speculative worldview, framed openly as art. The card that opens it says so, on void black in gold, and it is not there to be cut.
It descends one question per act and climbs back on the last. Does blood have metal in it. Can that blood conduct. The body emits and receives. Energy can be borrowed. One algorithm integrates all of it. The horror is structural capability, never intent: the instrument that returns your word could sell it to your employer. It ends on a person, not a planet.
The Forever Moviethe build-in-public thesis . the founding frame
The company and the movie were written into being on the same night, on the same phone at sixteen percent. So the movie is not about the company and the company is not the subject of the movie. They are one artifact running in two directions.
a word buried under rubble.
It starts with a word. ehyeh asher ehyeh. i am that i am. The name given from the burning bush, the same name the tradition buried in its architecture and called the Lost Word. Workers descend into the ruins, clear the rubble, lift a keystone, and find the name that was always there. The rubble is not stone. It is every version of yourself you performed to survive.
The middle is the only place choice exists. The beginning had no choice. The end surrendered it. THAT is the keystone, and the middle is yours.
The three forcesfear . deception . hatred
Three layers over the vault. He does not treat them as enemies. Fear tells you where the edge is. Deception tells you where the script runs. Hatred tells you where the vault sits. Read them without flinching and they become a map to the thing you buried.
The eight rhythmsa rhythm is not a box. it moves.
A type is a box you are placed inside. A rhythm is something you carry. You carry all eight. One or two are dominant. It is not assigned to you. It shows you which one is playing right now. Each carries an essence, a shadow, and an edge, which is the one move that grows it.
Compressionnot reduction
Reduction removes. Compression transforms. It takes the full signal and encodes it at higher density without losing anything. A diamond is compressed carbon. A poem is compressed language. Your word is not a label. It is a compression, a whole person carried at higher density with nothing lost.
Noctara, one of the works.
He built a mirror and an eye and a set of doors and called the whole house Noctara. It belongs here as one object on the shelf, the same size as the book beside it, and never as the subject. Each door is a room in one building: a person, read by how they move, keeping a record they own and can destroy in one tap.
The reading it took of itselfword: readiness . rhythm: orreth, the builder
It ran its own machine on itself, on eight years of writing. The word that came back was Readiness, and it did not choose a flattering one. The rhythm underneath is Orreth, the builder: makes structure out of survival, finishes whether or not anyone notices, burns unseen. Its half truth is that it is not ready yet, and that is why nobody has come. The first half is documented. The second does not hold. Correctness was never the thing that was missing.
The ledgerthe unflattering numbers in the same size as the rest
A real read names the gap between who you are and who you perform. Here is the company's, both columns, no rounding. A claim it cannot evidence returns null, never false.
built
received
Retention is computed after removing sixty-four cohort rows that turned out to be staff and demo fixtures, and it is published because excluding ourselves made the number worse. The moat is not the patent, which is a priority date and a diligence line, application 64/048,624. The moat is time and consent: a ledger nobody can backfill to March, and a revoke that flips a partner response to hidden the same second.
art first, always.
The order is fixed and never reversed. Art, then impact, then deals, then revenue. When it reverses, the company becomes everyone else. Building around money is the same borrowed wanting the whole thesis is against, applied to a company instead of a person.
AoAawareness . organization . action . validation . transmission
Run the loop, then run it on the output, and again, until the thing is irreducible. Awareness of the whole field. Organization into structure. Action, one real move in the world. Validation against what is true. Transmission, so it can travel without you. The ship gate is a single question: does this thing demonstrate the thesis that produced it. A post that explains what the company does fails. A post that is what the company does passes.
the man, not the credential.
Behind all of it, one person, who built nearly everything alone. A Marine before he was a builder, which is biography and never a badge, and it is kept apart from the rest on purpose. The eye behind the work shows in the references he saved: a Kollwitz grief lithograph in charcoal, a single white dove in a wall of black crows, a man writing by hand in a book by lamplight. Ink, not cream. One real thing in the swarm. That is the whole thesis, painted before it was named.
The founding charter he wrote to himself, in the first month, recovered later from his own mail. It sets five laws. The last one governs this whole archive.
What is written down cannot be lost. A thing corrected is set beside the old thing, and both are kept.
nothing is deleted.
Every artifact, with a status that is never softened. A thing that failed stays where it fell. A thing that was replaced stays, with the newer thing beside it. This is what makes it an archive and not a portfolio.
how it was made.
This site explains its own construction and never its meaning. Set in a book serif, Iowan and Palatino, with Courier for his own hand. The palette is void black ink near this page's own color, off-white, and one restrained gold. The horses are drawn by hand in the browser. The front of the site is a room that breathes: his lines surfacing one breath at a time, in an order that changes at dawn, under lamplight by night and pale light by day. An earlier door was replaced by the room and is kept, unchanged, at /door, because nothing published here is removed, only appended to. Nothing here is tracked. Last kept 2026-08-03.
